Derek joins Makwa Global after successfully serving as CEO of DECO, Inc. for over 20 years. He strategically led the growth of a three-employee government contractor to over 2,000 employees working in 91 countries worldwide. This strategic growth led DECO to becoming one of the nation’s most successful non-tribal 8(a)’s to date. Derek’s extensive knowledge and experience in security working with Federal Agencies, coupled with his family history as Tribal Members of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, bring a unique and unparalleled foundation to Makwa Global.
David Kaseman is an expert on OCONUS Federal Contracting. Prior to joining Makwa Global, David was the CEO and Founder of KASEMAN, LLC. KASEMAN provided services to the Federal Government (State Department, Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense) including; Counter Narcotics Training in Mexico and Central America, Counter Terrorism Training around the world, Classified Construction of SCIFs and CAAs, PSD training (most notably for Presidents of Afghanistan and Liberia), Armed/Unarmed security OCONUS, and Facilities support/engineering around the world. David’s tremendous network and proven record make him a key component to the success of Makwa Global.
Teri brings over 20 years of diverse corporate experience to Makwa Global. Specializing in government contracts, non-profits and small business, Teri also has a range of expertise in implementation and project management, process review and improvement, marketing and business consulting, and community relations. Prior to joining Makwa Global, Teri worked for DECO, Inc., NASA and other non-profit and private sector businesses. Successfully navigating organizations from the startup phase through targeted operational levels, she has proven measurable results for company stakeholders at every level. Teri’s breadth of experience has her uniquely positioned to assist in leading Makwa Global to success.
