We’re excited to welcome Megan Buchholz to the Makwa Global team as our newest intern.
Megan is a senior student-athlete at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she is majoring in Business and Psychology with a minor in Accounting.
Originally from Minnesota, Megan is a proud Direct Descendant of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. She brings a strong sense of purpose, balance, and determination—qualities that shine both in the classroom and on the field.
Megan shared, “I’m excited for this opportunity to grow, learn, and challenge myself within a company that values my heritage and culture as much as I do.”
Her internship will provide meaningful, hands-on experience across Makwa’s business operations, allowing her to explore areas of project management, finance, and organizational development while connecting her academic studies to real-world applications.
At Makwa Global, we’re proud to support the next generation of Native leaders by providing pathways for professional growth and opportunities to contribute to our shared mission—serving our federal partners while strengthening opportunities for our tribal community.
“We’re thrilled to have Megan on board and look forward to seeing her talents and leadership grow throughout her time with us. We look forward to supporting her journey as a future leader.”
- Anne Defot-Sido, Makwa Global CEO
Welcome to the team, Megan — we’re so glad you’re here!
