Willy Straubhaar joins Makwa Global as General Manager of Makwa Global Security Solutions

MINNEAPOLIS - October 6, 2022

Makwa Global is proud to announce the addition of Willy Straubhaar as General Manager of Makwa Global Security Solutions. Willy brings over 30 years of industry, military, and government contracting experience to the role, where he will support the company’s growth strategy and vision. He will be responsible for helping to lead Makwa's largest contracts and spearhead growth into adjacent professional services markets.

Before joining Makwa Global, Willy served in the US Marine Corps, and from there served as a detective for the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia. He entered government contracting by joining USIS, as Antiterrorism Assistance Program Training Delivery Coordinator, and progressively attained senior leadership roles supporting the Department of State Antiterrorism Assistance Program; the Department of Defense Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) Outreach and Digital Enterprise Services (MODES) Program, and the DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Program Management Support Services (PMSS). He remains actively involved in federal business contract identification, development, proposal, and budget management. Willy has a MS in High Technology Crime Investigation from George Washington University, and his undergraduate degree is in industrial security from George Mason University.

Willy brings a wealth of program management experience and insight into both Department of State, Department of Defense, and other Federal/Civilian agencies. Willy is a well respected and trusted personality among peers and customers and well positioned to help Makwa Global and our customers address current and future challenges.
